Cadillac continued to expand its electric vehicle portfolio today with confirmation of the VISTIQ. Slotted between LYRIQ and ESCALADE IQ, VISTIQ is a distinctive and innovative luxury three-row SUV, designed for the modern family.

This is the third electric vehicle Cadillac has confirmed this year and fifth to join its growing EV family. Earlier this year, Cadillac revealed the 2025 ESCALADE IQ, the brand’s first-ever all-electric full-size SUV that redefines the luxury SUV experience with its iconic design, high level of craftsmanship and the latest automotive technology.

Last month, Cadillac confirmed the 2025 OPTIQ, which will act as the entry point for the brand’s EV lineup in North America and will appeal to global luxury customers with its spirited driving dynamics. Additional OPTIQ details will be revealed next year.

“VISTIQ adds another compelling EV to the Cadillac lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future,” said John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac. “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years."

Additional VISTIQ details, including available features and pricing, will be released next year.

The 2026 Cadillac Vistiq serves as the mid-size three-row offering in the luxury marque's EV SUV lineup. The Vistiq is slightly larger than the outgoing gas-powered XT6 SUV, and its styling is sharp, drawing inspiration from the brand's other electric offerings. Under the floorboards is a variant of General Motors's Ultium battery; a pair of electric motors draw juice from the pack and deliver 615 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive. Cadillac says the Vistiq is good for about 300 miles per charge. Inside, the Vistiq’s cabin is well appointed; it can be outfitted with open-pore wood, and leather upholstery or recycled fabric trim, but the big, curved display screen on the dashboard is what brings the wow factor. Challengers include the Lucid Gravity and the Tesla Model X, but so far there are few three-row electric options for luxury buyers, and the Vistiq has the panache and the powertrain to be a compelling choice.

All Vistiq models come with two electric motors that combine for 615 horsepower and provide all-wheel drive. Adaptive dampers are standard, and an air-spring suspension system is optional. The Vistiq is also available with an optional rear-wheel steering system which adds extra agility and makes the big SUV more maneuverable in tight spots and city driving. When we test-drove the Vistiq recently, we were impressed by its hushed cabin and compliant road manners. The Vistiq carries its weight well, but its steering is numb and devoid of character. For those who prefer a more engaged driving experience, the less expensive Luxury and Sport models come with a coil-sprung suspension and smaller wheels that make the Vistiq feel more nimble and responsive.

Cadillac claims all Vistiq models will deliver around 300 miles of driving per charge. On a DC fast charging connection, the battery is said to be able to add about 80 miles of driving in just 10 minutes. On our highway fuel economy route, the Vistiq achieved a real-world range of 250 miles. We’ll also subject the Vistiq’s battery to our DC fast charging test and will update this story with real-world results.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe

The EPA hasn’t weighed in yet on the Vistiq’s MPGe ratings, but we expect it to be slightly less efficient than the smaller Lyriq but more efficient than the larger Escalade IQ. In our real-world 75-mph highway fuel economy test, we observed 75 MPGe. MPGe stands for miles per gallon of gas equivalent, an EPA metric that estimates PHEV and EV vehicle fuel efficiency. For more information about the Vistiq’s fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

Luxury three-row SUVs are common, but there aren’t many that come with an electric powertrain such as the one powering the Vistiq. The Tesla Model X is similarly priced and offers a third row but the Caddy’s way back seat is far more accommodating. The Vistiq’s high-end interior design is punctuated by wood trim rendered in several different colors and patterns, as well as nickel-finished metal accents. There are also some eco-friendly options, including a fabric trim option made from recycled materials.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A giant 33.0-inch curved display screen is the splashy tech feature inside the Vistiq’s cabin, and we can report it offers sharp graphics and relatively responsive software. It offers both touchscreen functionality as well as a center-console-mounted clickwheel that together provide several ways to interact with the system, and a separate smaller touchscreen that rises from the console’s leading edge provides access to climate controls and other functions. A 23-speaker stereo tuned by AKG is standard on all models.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Not only do you get Cadillac’s highly capable Super Cruise hands-free driving technology as standard, but you can also order an optional night vision feature that uses an infrared sensor to help detect pedestrians and animals in the vehicle’s path. For more information about the Vistiq’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:

Standard automated emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection
Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist
Standard adaptive cruise control with a hands-free driving mode
