There were no cars prepaired BY Cadillac and shipped BY Cadillac to aftermarket convertors. However a couple hundred of the above were purchased from dealers, and then in private hands were turned over to aftermarket convertors to be made into 6-door sedans, limousines, hearses and flower cars. When Cadillac saw the demand, they jumped into the market beginning with the 1994s. As you can see, Black Sapphire & Platinum were standard colors for 1993, but were discontinued after that. They were popular with the aftermarket, thusly the Special Order colors that followed in 1994, 1995 and 1996, using them, plus the Academy Gray that was popular with aftermarket convertors in 1993.
